SIL 2601 Soil
Colossus® Soil – 2601 is a very low-viscosity 2-comp. injection system based on a polymer-modified alkali silicate identical to natural ones specially designed for filling, solidifying and stabilizing non-binding to slightly binding types of soil (pH values > 7), brickwork and open-pored concrete. Colossus® Soil – 2601 penetrates dry and damp mineral surfaces, but none saturated with water. Colossus® Soil – 2601 is also suitable for stabilizing old concrete and weathered silicate surfaces which must not be acidified however.
The material sets very quickly before the proper curing procedure starts which can be recognized by the resulting turbidity of the material. After one day the area treated with Colossus® Soil – 2601 has already stabilized to form an autonomous body. Similar to the cement-bonding process in concrete, The stabilized soil remains water-permeable.
The stabilizing effect is only achieved in structures of mineral nature such as sand, pebble, natural stone or brickwork. Depending on the pore structure, the grain structure of the floor and the filling characteristics, different degrees of compressive strength are achieved. The stabilizing effect is higher in fine grain structures than in coarse ones.

PU 1K 2805 Soil
Very low viscous 1-component polyurethane injection resin. Colossus® PU 1K 2805 Soil reacts with water forming a rigid hydrophobic foam that encapsulates grains of soils. Colossus® PU 1K 2805 Soil is used for ground stabilisation. Besides giving stability it is also often used to restrain water bearing layers in the soil. The reaction time can be adapted by changing the amount of catalyst .
Due to the low viscosity and the expansion during polymerisation the resin will penetrate deep into the soil. Colossus® PU 1K 2805 Soil is ideally suited to saturate sandy soil as well as soil with bigger particles (permeation grouting) .
Colossus® PU 1K 2805 Soil can be injected with sleeve port pipes, strainer pipes,…. The cured material is resistant against water, weak acids and most of the organic solvents and micro-organism.
