Colossus® PU 2K 1601 is a quick reacting two component polyurethane injection resin for durable sealing and stabilization of dry and water – bearing zone in rock mass , dams , tunnels , canals , shaft and soil below the foundation . Colossus® PU 2K 1601 is characterized by it’s short reaction time, and high final strength , it shows slight foam formation when mixed with water .
Given free expansion material increases it’s volume by about 3 times. The reaction mixture cures with out foam formation to form a pore free , compact and highly solid material if it does not come in contact with water and renders the structure watertight. Reacts with water forming a rigid hydrophobic foam that encapsulates grains of soils. Colossus® PU 2K 1601 is used for ground stabilisation. Besides giving stability it is also often used to restrain water bearing layers in the soil.

Colossus® PU 2K 1604 is design for quickly stopping flowing water due to cracks , cavities and leaks. Colossus® PU 2K 1604 is also suitable for stabilizing non binding soil and as injection material for hydraulic base failures . Colossus® PU 2K 1604 is recommended as temporary sealing for foundation pits , water bearing joints and drilling holes.
Colossus® PU 2K 1604 is a 2 Component PU injection foam resin which strongly expands and cures to form a semi rigid foam when mixing with water. Colossus® PU 2K 1604 only start reacting upon contact with water in foundation soil and therefore does not cure in the injection lance. Its reaction time can be adjusted to the desired reaction rate by adding up to 20 % of Accelerator.

Colossus® SIL 2K 1801 is suitable for quickly stopping water. Colossus® SIL 2K 1801 is recommended for the preventive securing and stabilization of heading faces in tunnel constructions and for the quick filling of cavities . Colossus® SIL 2K 1801 is also suitable for stabilizing and sealing water bearing layers for stabilizing soil and rock. After mixing the two Component Colossus® SIL 2K 1801 reacts and strongly expands to form a foam with a fine cellular texture. Colossus® SIL 2K 1801 also react in the presence of water , but no water require for the foam formation . The cured foam is ready for cutting and planning

Given free expansion material increases it’s volume by about 1 time. Thanks to material’s high density , cavities filled with water are filled from bottom to top displacing the water . The reaction mixture cures with out foam formation to form a pore free , compact and highly solid material if it does not come in contact with water and renders the structure watertight. Reacts with water forming a rigid hydrophobic foam that encapsulates grains of soils. Colossus® SIL 2K 1804 is used for ground stabilisation. Besides giving stability it is also often used to restrain water bearing layers in the soil. If exposed to pressure ( Due to rock motion) Colossus® SIL 2K 1804 is malleable enough to adapt its foam.

The working principle of the Colossus® PN – 2K F1 is based on two regenerative, air-operated piston pumps. A compressor with an air output of 200 – 400 l/min. is required for operating the pump. The individual components are introduced to the mixing head separately. The actual mixing process is implemented by means of a static mixer located in the mixing head. Check valves prevent the components from flowing back into the feed tubes and thus avoid all accidental reactions within the feed system.

EPB Soil Conditioning Foams
Foam HG
Foam HG is a high performance foaming agent, formulated with special natural polymers and biodegradable anionic surfactants. It produces very stable foams and can be used both with clean and salted water, even with high hardness and is characterized by minimal environmental impact.
Foam HG has a high strength and good lubricating properties, improve substantially the carrying capacity of the resulting materials (debris) allowing, thus, obtaining a cleaner excavation area. Such benefits may also increase with small additions of polymer Acryl 46. It can be injected into any type of terrain, including fractured and very permeable, prevents agglomeration of the clay and prevent blockages in the shield and in the chamber excavation of EPB machines. it reduces, thanks to the power of lubrication, the friction between the soil and digging equipment, significantly lowering the level of wear and increasing the efficiency of the machine. It lends itself also as a valuable additive against dust, especially during excavations in the coal mines. Foam HG is quickly biodegradable and not pollutant for environment.
DOSING
Foam HG should be mixed with water in concentrations ranging from 1,5% to 4%, according to the conditions of excavation and soil type and the types of foam generator.
In each case the values of expansion foam should be developed on site to verify the correct ratio between foam injected and the excavated product according to the various conditions of pressure.
In principle, one can establish the following concentrations:

Acryl 46
Acryl 46 is a liquid polymer synthetic high molecular weight, formulated with special copolymers acrylamide / sodium acrylate, suitable treatment of the sludge in preparation work drilling land and civil engineering. Acryl 46 also has a high power lubricant battery against drilling reducing friction and wear torsion. Acryl 46 is as translucent milky liquid medium viscosity, extremely easy to disperse in water, which hydrolyzes forming solutions clear and highly viscous. It does not presents dangers of toxicity and flammability. Acryl 46 may also find use as a stabilizer and thickener foam products in our foaming Foam HG.

EPB Head & Tail Sealing Grease

Seal TBM/C-1P is a sealant, that can be used in tunnels dug with full-section mechanical cutter to prevent backfilling grout, water and mortar from penetrating the shield and reaching the digging face.
His high temperatures resistance reduces flame risk in tunnelling machines. Seal TBM/C-1P has excellent pumping properties and adhesion to all surfaces, excellent water wash out resistance, even against salt water. It is formulated to resist high pressures. It is used, in particular, as a product of “first fill”.

Although the consumption depends on the type of soil to be treated and the type of TBM, generally apply from 0.400 to 1.500 kg/m2 (lb/ft2 0.08 to 0.31) in cross-section of the tunnel. -
Seal TBM/T is a sealant that can be used in tunnels dug with full-section mechanical cutter, specially
developed to resist against mud, water and dust. Seal TBM/T has excellent adherence even on wet surfaces and excellent water wash out resistance (< 6%), it is stable at considerable pressure. It has high lubricating power so it can be used on all rotary parts at the cutter head. It is a pumpable product and easy to apply.

Anti Clay Agent
Sperse 1/45
Sperse 1 / 45 is a dispersing agent for high performance liquid, formulated with special polycarboxyiates modified suited to the treatment of dispersion of clay purposes, in the presence of benton slurries, in the presence of kaolin and other materials strongly cohesive. The product is ready for use and is not affected by the hardness and thermal fluctuations. Sperse 1 / 45 is then used in the following applications: – Disperse / disrupt clay with a strong cohesive power, with a consequent decrease in viscosity of the same during the excavations with TBM. – Disperse, disrupt, stabilize soils purposes generally, compact (benton, kaolin, etc.). – Facilitate the resumption of excavations with cutters after long stops.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION The product is ready to use and dose guidance is as follows:
-In addition to water 0.5-1.5% of the volume of soil excavated -In addition to solving foam 0.1 -0.5% of the volume of soil excavated -In benton slurries 0.05-1% of the total volume
